Get on board with your family for the best Halloween treat in St. Louis.

PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express arrives at St. Louis Union Station for 2015! The excursions, which are themed after Charles M. Schulz’s classic story “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” depart from from historic Union Station’s train tracks. Guests will experience great views of St. Louis including Busch Stadium, the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River.  Riders will listen to themed music and hear the narration of Schulz’s story by one of the PEANUTS™ crew members as the train travels along the rails.

Prior to the train adventure, passengers will be greeted by PEANUTS™ characters and have a photo opportunity with Lucy and Snoopy at the St. Louis Union Station Pumpkin Patch. Kids can pick, decorate and bring home the perfect pumpkin, enjoy cider and sugar cookies, write a letter to the Great Pumpkin, and take part in festive, family-oriented activities.  Kids (and parents) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the event.

The entire train ride experience is approximately 1/2 hour in length. Each ticket entitles guests to one ride aboard the PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express and access to the Station Pumpkin Patch. All trains depart from St. Louis Union Station, and run round trip. Three classes of train tickets are available; Coach, VIP and Premium. The Premium tickets include upgraded train car seating and a special visit from a Peanuts™ character for the ultimate experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are children under 2 free? Children 2 and under are free if they will be sitting on the lap of a ticketed passenger. If the child will be sitting in their own seat they will require a ticket. Children ages 2-12 are entitled to purchase the discounted Child’s seat.

How long is the trip? The journey will be approximately 1/2 hour in length and follows a route through St. Louis ending at MacArthur’s Bridge and returning to Union Station.

What time does boarding begin? Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to the train departure time. Though we recommend that you arrive at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow for parking and to partake in the fun activities (pumpkin decorating).

Is there a suggested dress code? We encourage families to dress in Halloween costumes but this is not required.

What about parking? Ample parking will be available under the Train Shed at St. Louis Union Station for a discounted price of $5 on event days. Is THE PEANUTS GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH EXPRESS™ TRAIN RIDE handicap accessible? Limited accessible seating is available, please call us directly at (314) 942-6942 for more information. THE PEANUTS GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH EXPRESS™ TRAIN RIDE is not fully accessible to persons with disabilities due to the historic, narrow doorway widths and steep step wells.

is a street festival for which 2-3 blocks

will be closed off on Washington Ave.

It will feature a fine arts and crafts show produced by the St. Louis Art Fair with professionally juried artist presentations / booths, as well as: live local musicians, circus acts from Circus Kaput and a kid-friendly section, micro-brewery contributions, a St. Louis-based businesses showcase prominently hailing from the Washington Ave. garment district, and exceptional local eatery offerings from surrounding cafes and restaurateurs.

The festival promises to be a large local event, supported in part by Sauce Magazine, the St. Louis Blues Museum, Urban Chestnut Brewery, the St. Louis Blues Society, and the Missouri Arts Council – among many others.

Circus Harmony is proud to be taking its goal of defying gravity to new heights with the Circus Harmony Flying Trapeze Center, St. Louis’ only Flying Trapeze Center where men, women and children can soar through the air with the greatest of ease. The Circus Harmony Flying Trapeze Center is a fun and safe activity for families, birthday parties and team building events.

Additionally, when you fly, you help other children fly! A portion of the proceeds from the Flying Trapeze Center goes towards our Wheels to Wings program which funds transportation for needy and deserving circus students to take circus classes at the Circus Harmony Center, located on the third floor of City Museum, where we teach a wide variety of circus arts.

The Circus Harmony Flying Trapeze Center is located in the parking lot under the Train Shed at the historic Union Station in downtown St. Louis, right across the parking lot from the Hard Rock Cafe.

St. Louis Public Library logo celebration 150th anniversary

The St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce the new season of its popular NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series.  Now in its eighth season, 2015 boasts new faces, crowd favorites, and a new summer format.

All concerts are held on the third Thursday of each month at Central Library, 1301 Olive St., at 7 p.m.  Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Shows are FREE and open to the public.  Seating is first-come, first-served.

For 2015, NOT SO QUIET! offers a new format from June through September  .LIVE On Olive! takes place outdoors on Central’s front steps*, where concertgoers can spend warm summer evenings enjoying great music played against one the city’s most spectacular backdrops. They can bring their lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinners, or just relax on the steps or in the grass.  (*Events will move indoors to the Auditorium in case of inclement weather.)

HARMONEE! Merry X-Mas Show.  This soul-stirring vocal group lowers the curtain on the 2015 NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series season and rings in the holidays with traditional Gospel and soul-inspired songs. Their voices blend together to warm the spirit and soothe the soul.

MAKE AN EVENING OF IT!  Before the concert, stop by Urban Eats Café Central in the Atrium until 7 p.m.to enjoy mouthwatering food and drinks with an ethnic twist.  It’s the perfect way to satisfy an early evening appetite and get in the mood for tasty tunes!
