Registration area opens at 7:45am. Event starts 9:00am. Join the APA for an action-packed morning of exercise (with or without your pup) at the Fast and Furriest 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk! The Sons of Rest Pavilion is at the east/Grand Avenue end of the park.
Cost: $30 through April 22 at 5pm; $35 thereafter, through day of event.
The 5K features chip timing on a course accurately measured by Fleet Feet Sports. The 1-Mile Walk offers a nice, scenic stroll in the park. This event also includes activities for kids! Register by April 5 to receive a t-shirt and goody bag. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome in both the 5K and the 1 Mile. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Animal Protective Association of Missouri and its mission of bringing people and pets together, advancing humane education, and creating programs beneficial to the human/animal bond.
Packet pickup will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015. The location and hours for packet pickup will be emailed in April to registrants.
Or, packets may be picked up at the event on Sunday, April 26 beginning at 7:45 a.m. at Sons of Rest Pavilion in Tower Grove Park.
The APA’s Fast and the Furriest 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk is sponsored by Purina.
All dogs in attendance must be current on vaccinations and in good health. Participants in the 5K with a dog or stroller must not impede other participants and may be asked to start at the back.

The restoration of Government Hill in 2004 was a major step in Forest Park Forever’s efforts to ensure that all of the Park’s permanent structures would be preserved for the benefit and enjoyment of generations to come. You can be a part of that permanence through the purchase of a brick paver at the Member Paver Plaza, located at the base of the reflecting pool at Government Hill.
For a donation of $200, you will receive a 4″ x 8″ paver that allows for an inscription of up to 3 lines, with 15 characters per line (including spacing and punctuation). For a donation of $2,000, you will receive an 8″ x 8″ paver that allows for an inscription of up to 6 lines. Pavers purchased during the current calendar year will be installed the following spring.

APA Education Director Jennifer Blome and special guests will lead story time for community children and their parents. All are welcome to attend class, and stories will be appropriate for children ages 2-5 years.
